hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

holiday 2012: holiday vignettes.

Our next little new series of cards is called Holiday Vignettes. Basically, I drew six little whimsical sketches on a theme. I love variations, and often when I’m drawing a new design I try a bunch of takes on one concept. So this time, I thought, why not just include all the iterations? I […]

a rosemary wreath.

It’s wreath time again! This is my fourth annual fall diy wreath project, can you believe it? Either I’m getting old, or the blog is. All the wreaths I have made so far have fallen under three stipulations: it must be easy, it must be natural, and it must be free. Easy, as in a […]

a { magnolia } wreath.

It’s Autumn at last, folks! And you know what that means… bring on the Fall decorating projects! Another year, another wreath. This past Sunday afternoon I got inspired by the sudden cold weather and rain, so during the kid’s naptime, I threw together a magnolia leaf wreath. Seriously, the whole project from start-to-finish took maybe […]

did you bring the wreath?

“…the Merry Christmas wreath for the window.” Okay, I may or may not have seen  It’s a Wonderful Life last night while coding this blog post. (Sheepish grin.) ‘Tis the season. Speaking of wreaths (note smooth segue), I hope you aren’t sick of my wreath tutorials, because I have another one coming your way! Ordinarily […]
