hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

{ meet eric kippum }

Well, I may not have mentioned this on the blog (although I think I tweeted a bit about it), but about a week and a half ago we became a family of five. That’s right, five. My jaw still drops at that number. We flew over to Korea and brought back home this little guy… […]

To start with, incredible sashimi-grade ahi is everywhere on the island. I’m not kidding. Gas […]

beautiful butchart gardens

Our yard is currently in the process of being revamped (raised vegetable beds are going in today, yay!) so I’ve got gardens on the brain lately. If you haven’t noticed from my pinterest pinning tendencies. So in honor of gardens and all things green – I’m pulling from the photo archives today to show you […]

a sip { or two } of kauai.

Aloha, there friends and readers. As you may have guessed from the title, we slipped away for a little family (and extended family, actually) vacation last month. I actually hadn’t planned on sharing any photos on the blog from the trip… but I was going through my iPhoto account, and I realized three things: one) […]

{ meet lance parker }

Here he is!! Meet our newest little guy… Lance Parker Tennis. Affectionately known around here for our many waiting months as “Korea Baby” (a phrase coined by Cameron), Lance has been home with us for over two weeks and is settling in the busy Tennis household. He is  not quite ten months old, incredibly smiley […]

good eats {korea}

Here’s the one sentence summary: Korea is a fantastic place to eat, but I wouldn’t want to have to wash the dishes. Seriously, these people love their banchan (side dishes)! Every single time we ate in korea, we had no less than 14 plates between us, sometimes many more. In America, our understanding of kimchi […]
