hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

a little cottage ranch kitchen.

Here it is at long last… the before-and-after shots of my parent’s little cottage kitchen remodel! If you recall, my parents moved to Chico and bought a tiny ranch fixer-upper on a roomy acre. I first shared with you the inspiration for the kitchen remodel (which I was privileged to design and shop for) back […]

Quack, quack), and I plan to spend the rest of the weekend prepping for family that will be in town for thanksgiving, plus shopping and baking, etc. Basically, the Autumn stuff we all dream […]

fall decor { 2013 }

Howdy there. Slipping in for a few quick minutes to share my fall decorating with you (before it turns into winter and Christmas, that is). This year was all about texture, warmth, layering, and neutrals. Oh, and keeping it simple, absolutely simple and free. I piled a bunch of mini-white pumpkins and objects of curiosity […]

a tale of two wreaths.

Anybody who’s been following this blog for a while knows I have a little wreath obsession. As soon as Autumn hits, I like to slip one up on my front door, and then swap it out for an evergreen version over the Winter holidays. A bare door at this time of year almost seems naked […]

diy metallic pillows for fall

Well hello there, Autumn!! This first week of Fall has seemed to follow classic textbook descriptions here in Northern California: crisp nights, sunny but windy days, and the occasional cleansing drizzle of rain. Oh, and rice harvest has started, which means I’m solo-parenting for the next month or so. It also means I’m jazzed up […]

{ our new breakfast nook }

I’ve been hinting over the past few posts that this summer we went whole-hog with the remaining home improvement projects and may have conjured up not just one, but two farmhouse tables. Lemme ‘splain. This is our breakfast nook: The first (and only time) you may have possibly laid eyes on it (unless you’ve come […]
