hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

{ firsts & lasts. }

We snuck away last week for a bit to the family cabin to enjoy the last true week of our summer. Hence the radio silence. Because this morning, at 7 am, bright and early, this little guy started his very first day of school: Yes. Kindergarten is here. I’m not one of those super sentimental […]

A little instagram update!! June was spent mostly recovering from the big Show. Oh, and also organizing every single closet, room, or nook-and-cranny in our house. My house is SO organized right now. I was bitten by the bug, and I’m not stopping until No. Mess. Remains. ANYWHERE. I’ll try and document when it’s all […]

I figured I’d better post the instagram summary for September before it becomes November! I was a little photo-light this month, and it seems like such a long, long time has passed since Labor Day Weekend at our family cabin. { A masterful method for crisp potatoes, made by a friend. I googled it, it’s […]

The last instagram round-up of 2011! December was a busy, happy, stressful blur… { Have you ever planned a progressive-progressive dinner? Tons of fun…. tons of work. } { Our first Heidelberg die-cutting experience. And yes, why haven’t we done this sooner? } { Apparently letterpress is not the only type of “impression” I like […]

November. It came. It went. Lots of food was consumed, lots of printing was done. And oh, the leaves all disappeared too. Shall we summarize? { Cameron started preschool (1/2  day a week). His artwork is Ginormous. And yay, he absolutely loves it. } { Vintage Metal locker baskets. Coming soon to a little boys […]
