hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

May you not have it wished on you by your worst enemy. In a bit of weekend news […]

our bathroom { in cottages & bungalows magazine }

Yesterday I had the pleasure of walking into Lowes and picking up a copy of Cottages & Bungalows magazine which, on page 67, has our very own black and white guest bathroom. How exciting is that!?! If you had told me three years ago as we started our remodel that our home would end up […]

{ happy long weekend! }

It’s this little guy’s first birthday today… …And we are headed up to the cabin to celebrate as a family. We’re going to pretend it’s the first weekend of summer, although the snow level will be 5500 feet (brr!) and Matt will be darting back and forth from the ranch. I don’t care if it’s […]

louie, louie.

The presses are chugging away over here, but I had to stop and take a moment to tell you about a fun little thing. Our tractor birthday invites (remember them from here, and the birthday party that inspired them) are a finalist in the 2010-11 Louie Awards. What are the Louies, you say? I’d like […]

me… on the nate berkus show!

Here it is! My clip on the Nate Show, which airs today! I can’t believe they posted it on the internet. So fortunate, because now I get to share it with you… And then here’s the behind the scenes holiday tips video (yes, my face is a little “glowy” aka sweaty): I had to think […]
