hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

16 going on 17… a year in review

{ a new season }

Spring has come a bit early here to Chico. As seems to happen often, a week or two of warmer weather coaxes the almond and fruit tree blossoms out ahead of their time (or maybe other years they are just late? Hm). I love the changing seasons, and Cam and I took a spring walk […]

a brief break.

My Grandmother passed away last Friday, and while I try not to get too personal on the blog (other than the fact that I am blogging about our life and work)… I just wanted to take a moment to remember her. Grandma and I had a love of language in common. You may not recognize […]

a gas station proposal.

Being a part of the wedding (& blogging) industry, I see my fair share of fabulous engagement shoots and fairy-tale proposal stories. Running through a field in slow-motion with a fistful of balloons? Check. Vintage car and fabulous outfits? Check. Romantic wine picnic in a rustic, grassy paradise? Check, check. But top this one folks… […]

me… on the nate berkus show!

Here it is! My clip on the Nate Show, which airs today! I can’t believe they posted it on the internet. So fortunate, because now I get to share it with you… And then here’s the behind the scenes holiday tips video (yes, my face is a little “glowy” aka sweaty): I had to think […]

keeping it real.

Hello there, folks! Is it Friday already? This week has flown by in a flash – and a blurry one at that.  So much going on here, (good) deadlines keeping our adrenaline up and our stress levels high.  I often get comments about how glamorous/happy our life seems here on this blog.  Blog-life across the […]
