hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

This past Sunday afternoon I got inspired by the sudden cold weather and rain, so during the kid’s naptime, I threw together a magnolia leaf wreath. Seriously, the whole project from start-to-finish took maybe […]

dinner on a dime: ratatouille’s ratatouille.

Happy Friday! It may be Fall, but here in Northern California it will be 100 degrees out today. Not exactly sweater weather, huh? However, I can still feel the season’s changing because it cools off nicely at night and this morning our home was a crisp 67 F inside after opening up all the windows […]

View full post » { the month of august }

Yeah, it may or may not be mid-September already. Better late than never, right? August was hot but fantastic. { Bibimbap in San Francisco } { SF Giants Game – sold out, of course. } { Lance and me and the Binky make three. } { Envelope lining makes me happy. Especially red. } { […]

a gallery staircase.

Here it is, here it is, here it is!! The Gallery. It’s been finished for weeks, but I haven’t gotten to photograph/edit/upload it for you until now. Rather than give you a big build-up of the how-tos, I thought I would indulge you folks who want instant gratification (you know who you are)… I present […]

camping, final edition { organize it }

  This is the final edition of our camping series, I promise! Because of summer schedule and light posting it stretched out over a couple of weeks… way longer than intended, I assure you. Let’s wrap it up, shall we? The last post is on organizing a campsite. It may seem completely unnecessary, but a […]
