hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything.

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have three adorable and active boys ages 5 and under.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints, or whip out a card line on the Heidelberg.

There's more, oh yes, there IS more - but that's what this blog is for.  Take a look around, get to know us, our great town of Chico, California and our beautiful presses.

It’s this little guy’s first birthday today… …And we are headed up to the cabin to celebrate as a family. We’re going to pretend it’s the first weekend of summer, although the snow level will be 5500 feet (brr!) and Matt will be darting back and forth from the ranch. I don’t care if it’s […]

{ strawberry pie }

I was trying to come up with a clever title for this post, but then I thought, why mess with perfection? Strawberry Pie. It’s spring, and strawberries are all over the farmer’s market. We’ve even had an extended cool spring here in Chico, so strawberries, cherries and peaches are actually overlapping right now. Happy sigh. […]

16 going on 17… a year in review

My birthday was this past Sunday. Goodbye 30, hello 31! I don’t feel that much older – I think I’m in the golden age between 30 and 35 (where nobody thinks you’re much older or younger no matter where you fit in that segment). Although the gray hairs are showing up incessantly! I know I […]

national stationery show 2011 { the recap }

Happy Monday! As we settle in and start filling orders (my summer intern starts today, yay!) I thought I would do a bit of a summary of our first experience at the National Stationery Show. Overall, the show was an incredible learning experience, and a great launch for Wild Ink Press, and I felt it […]

Some times you say things and you really, really mean them. I REALLY am happy about this upcoming weekend! The stationery show was an amazing experience, and I have much to share with you about it next week, but in the meantime, I’m hanging with my boys again: Self portrait with my two sons, aka […]
