If you read this blog regularly, you probably are pretty familiar with Eikon Photography – my good friends Stella and Caryn run it as partners, and produce some beautiful work. They’ve shot such pretty things as our Grand Opening, Cam’s tractor birthday and much of the original product photography you see on the main site. Plus they’re going to be shooting all of our fabulous new cards that come out at this year’s National Stationery Show… I can’t wait to show you what is up our sleeves!
So, anyway, I owe them. Big time. And when my friend Stella was up for a weekend visit recently, we got the opportunity to throw some ink on the press and print up some cute Eikon tags. It’s not enough to repay all the kind things they’ve done for me… but you have to start somewhere. =)
I designed their logo way-back when, and I simply love the way it softly sculpts on the cotton -
Pillowy curves & letterpress = so pretty. Of course it helps when you hold it just so to the light…
Whenever I print tags or labels, I always throw some Manila tags on the press before I clean it up. It’s just such an inexpensive way to have a lot of labels around when you need them! For the price of one cotton tag, you can have 12 Manila tags.
Not nearly as soft or delicate as the cotton tags, but still fun nonetheless. Now if I can just talk the girls at Eikon into letterpress business cards… =)
