hello there.

Well, whaddya wanna know?  Here's the plain and simple truth:  My name is Rebekah Tennis and I love design.  I love paper, the way it feels, its weight and texture.  I love extra special touches on little things: homemade tags on gift-wrap, old stamps on an envelope, and twine on nearly everything.

My husband, business partner and all-around solid rock Matt would probably tell you that he likes tools - lots of 'em, finding the perfect way to do something, taking things apart, and precision in everything. 

So you might as well have guessed by now... we are the perfect match for an old letterpress studio. Together we farm rice and have a small but adorable three-year old son, Cameron, and a chubby one year old, Lance.  This keeps us fairly busy, but whenever we have a spare moment, we crank up our 102 year old Chandler and Price platen press and pull some prints.

So, it’s been a crazy busy December for us! How is yours coming along?

We have had a lot of inquiries about buying our product locally (yay!), and while we have some cards in Made in Chico and a bit in Magna Carta, it is by no means exhaustive. So, we’ve set up a few studio appointments, and most of them have been on Friday afternoons. In fact this Friday (tomorrow) we have no less than six groups of people coming by – which got us thinking, why not have a holiday open house?

So, announcing our Holiday 2010 hours…

Friday, December 10, 1 pm – 5 pm {Open Studio}

Friday, December 17, 1 pm – 5 pm {Open Studio}

and possible Monday, December 21 (to be determined if you still need gifts and cards!)

It may not be as big of a “party” as last year’s first Holiday Open House, but there will be Christmas decor (oh yes!) and yummy paper goods: Christmas cards, New Year cards, everyday cards, ornaments, coasters, stationery sets, and gift certificates (for custom personal stationery, of course!). You could get all your shopping done in one fell-swoop! Did I mention we gift wrap on the spot (and we have lots of choices! Ribbon galore!) we have cookies and milk available and you may get to see the presses in action.
