Today is probably a big travel day for most of you! As we in America all head out to celebrate with friends and family, I just wanted to say a few quick words to you, my readers.
Matt and I feel so blessed and have so many things to be thankful for. Our health, our dear extended family, friends, and work that we enjoy and love. Seriously, I am thankful for so many, many, undeserved good things that God has given us. And one of those things is you, our friends and readers! The internet community can be an incredible and caring place – I never cease to be amazed at the encouragement and support people I have never met can give. I’ve even gotten to know some of you very well on and offline. And I am just very thankful for you!
So have a great Thanksgiving! Be sure to decorate, even if it’s the simplest of settings (below is last year’s arrangement, just grocery store flowers combined with squash and little pumpkins we already had on hand):
And, may your turkey (or tofurkey) be moist:

…Polarizing side note: I like to call it Thanksgiving. I despise “turkey day” because that’s not the point of the holiday. Did I just alienate 80% of my readership? =)
Mostly, just enjoy your family, your friends and your blessings. If you can help it, don’t go to Black Friday sales!! Consumerism is overrated. {End of unsolicited advice}
We are happy to be at our family cabin, which was just recently blanketed with this…
Hot cocoa, here I come. See you Monday, friends!
